Most patients experience minimal discomfort. Acupuncture needles are extremely fine — much thinner than injection needles. Most people describe a brief sensation of pressure or warmth at the needle site, followed by deep relaxation.
Acute conditions often respond within 3–6 sessions. Chronic conditions typically require 8–12 sessions to see sustained improvement. Your ND will give you a realistic treatment timeline at your first appointment.
